Those living with pain, suffering from chronic conditions like arthritis or joint pain, can opt for looking in their kitchen cabinet instead of their medicine cabinet.

Personally, I use turmeric and ginger or wild lettuce. You can use turmeric with black pepper to activate it or you can make the capsules that I do using powdered turmeric and powdered ginger one-to-one ratio. It works like magic in no time for me. 👍

Here is a another great video about natural pain remedies no chemicals, no side effects.

Superfoods to combat arthritis

Superfoods to combat arthritis: Ginger, berries, fish and other anti-inflammatory foods

Superfoods to combat arthritis: Ginger, berries, fish and other anti-inflammatory foods

December 11, 2017

by: Zoey Sky
(Natural News) Individuals diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis can experience mild to severe joint pain, and this often affects their daily lives. Thankfully, there are some superfoods that can help you deal with this kind of pain.
These superfoods help lower oxidative stress, or the body’s ability to “counteract or detoxify harmful chemicals.” Dr. Bhawna Gupta, from KIIT University in India, said, “‘Regular consumption of specific dietary fibers, vegetables, fruits, and spices, as well as the elimination of components that cause inflammation and damage, can help patients to manage the effects of rheumatoid arthritis.

Incorporating probiotics into the diet can also reduce the progression and symptoms of this disease.” She also advised patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis to switch from “omnivorous diets, drinking alcohol, and smoking” to “Mediterranean, vegan, elemental, or elimination diets,” after consulting their doctor or dietitian.

Based on a recent study, some of the superfoods that you can eat to help fight the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) include blueberries, ginger, green tea, and olive oil. Scientists advise sufferers to incorporate more of the foods listed below in their diet because they can help slow down the progressive and debilitating autoimmune disease. (Related: Arthritis – How to relieve the pain and heal naturally.)

Here are some superfoods that you can eat to help ease arthritic pain.

Anti-inflammatory foods to ease arthritis

  • Dairy — Yogurt (curd)
  • Fruits — Dried plums, grapefruits, grapes, blueberries, pomegranates, mangoesbananas, peaches, and apples
  • Herbs — Sallaki (Boswellia serrata), ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
  • Legumes — Black soybean, black gram
  • Oils — Olive oil, fish oil, borage seed oil capsules
  • Spices — Ginger, turmeric
  • Tea — Green tea and basil (tulsi) tea
  • Whole grains and cereals — Wheat, rice, oats, corn, rye, barley, millets, sorghum, and canary seed

It’s difficult to detect the early stages of rheumatoid arthritis and if left undetected or misdiagnosed, the disease can rapidly progress in the first few years. Dr. Gupta advised, “‘Supporting disease management through food and diet does not pose any harmful side effects and is relatively cheap and easy.” She continued, “Doctors, physicians and dietitians can use our study to summarize current proven knowledge on the links between certain foods and rheumatoid arthritis.” According to Gupta, if doctors determine the nutritional and medicinal requirements of their patients, it can be used to improve their health.

Medical experts often suggest different dietary plans for rheumatoid arthritis, like Mediterranean, vegan, and seven to 10 days of fasting. The research team’s study is only the second overall assessment of diet and food regarding arthritis and was published in the journal Frontiers in Nutrition. The study also focused on reporting dietary interventions and specific foods that have proven long-term effects.

The researchers hope that their study will prove useful as a reference for the development of new medicines. Dr. Gupta shared, “Our review focused on specific dietary components and phytochemicals from foods that have a proven beneficial effect on rheumatoid arthritis…

Pharmaceutical companies may use this information to formulate nutraceuticals.” The doctor also believes that nutraceuticals have a distinct advantage over chemically-tailored medicines since the former do not have side effects, are made from natural sources, and are cheaper.

Dr. Gupta’s team also reviewed research from several laboratory experiments under different conditions. According to the research, since dietary components can vary based on geography and weather conditions, patients must look into their allergies, nutritional requirements, and other food-related disease history. She concluded that the general public must talk to their health care providers and dietitians first before following any diet program or food compounds covered by the study.

Other recommended foods to fight rheumatoid arthritis

If you want to eat more foods that can help combat the symptoms of this disease, check out the list below:

Blackstrap molasses — While scientific research into the effectiveness of molasses is limited, it can help relieve pain because it is rich in vitamins and nutrients like magnesium. Magnesium helps preserve nerve and muscle function as well as joint cartilage, says the Arthritis Foundation.

Coriander
— Also known as cilantro and Chinese parsley, coriander is one of the many natural remedies that can have a beneficial effect on chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, according to a study published in Toxicology and Industrial Health in September 2014.

Pineapple
— The stem of a pineapple contains bromelain, a digestive enzyme that can help reduce inflammation in people with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. But since pineapple stems are inedible, you can increase your bromelain intake by taking supplements in capsule or pill form.

Pineapple Juice Found To Be 500% More Effective Than Cough Syrup

With winter on our doorstep, many of us end up with a nasty cold or cough.

Article By Amy Goodrich

While most people run to the store for over-the-counter meds packed with artificial dyes and chemicals, I prefer to go all-natural and avoid the harmful side effects of commercially available cough syrups.

You would be surprised of how many natural remedies are in your pantry right now. Pineapple juice is one of these wonderful healing ingredients to soothe a persistent cough or sore throat.

In 2010 Indian researchers tested the effectiveness of natural substances such as pineapple juice to treat tuberculosis (find the study here).

They found that a mixture of pineapple juice with raw honey, cayenne pepper and Himalayan saltwork extremely well to dissolve mucus and soothe a persistent cough. Patients recovered up to 5 times quicker with this all natural pineapple remedy compared to OTC cough syrup.

Benefits Of Pineapple Juice
Pineapple thanks its many health benefits to a powerful enzyme called bromelain which acts as an antioxidant to reduce inflammation and swelling of the sinuses. It eliminates bacteria and fights infections.

Slice and use entire pineapple except skin

Only 1 cup of pure pineapple juice contains 50% of your daily recommendation of vitamin C, another powerful antioxidant to strengthen your immune system and soothe a sore throat or cough.
Next to bromalain and vitamin C, pineapple is also a good source of vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, manganese and potassium, which are all essential nutrients to keep your body healthy.

Powerful All-natural Cough Suppressant Recipe.

If you have a juicer it is best to make your own juice, or opt for unprocessed natural pineapple juice instead. Most commercially available brands contain too much sugar and added flavors and are low in the actual real fruit.

Ingredients:
    1 cup pineapple juice
    ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
1 piece of ginger (about 3 inches)
    1 tablespoon raw honey
    Pinch of Himalayan salt
    ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Blend or juice all ingredients. Take ¼ cup of this remedy up to 3 times a day and your cough or sore throat will be gone in no time.
Note: to improve digestion and effectiveness add a pinch of turmeric as well.

Ginger is a superfood. It possesses an amazing ability to enhance immunity, improve digestion and reduce inflammation.

Ginger contains several essential oils that make up its distinct aroma and flavor: zingerone, shogaols, & gingerols. These oils are powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic agents. Ginger root promotes healthy digestion, boosts immunity, treats asthma, aids in cardiovascular health, relieves pain and much more.

Ginger Tea Benefits:

Ginger is a very effective remedy for headaches, flu, common cold and even sore muscles.  Due to ginger’s unique substances, it is able to naturally stop pain (preventing prostaglandins from setting off an inflammatory response in the body).

Regular consumption of  ginger tea strengthens the immune system. It contains great amounts of antioxidants that boosts immunity and helps fight off infections.

Just one cup of tea a day will minimize your chances of stroke, as ginger helps break down fat deposits that block arteries.

Due to the warming properties of ginger, it improves your blood circulation. Increased blood flow will improve the delivery of vitamins, minerals and oxygen to your body’s cells… aiding in overall health.
Ginger tea helps destroy the virus’ that cause common colds,  cold sores, and influenza.

Ginger Kills 76% of Lung Cancer Cells in Vivo: For the first time ever, researchers have discovered that not only is ginger extract extremely toxic to lung cancer cells, but it’s metabolites (break-down products) are even more toxic! They observed that 6-Gingerol, a major anti-cancer compound of ginger, was metabolized into 6-gingerdiol inside the cancer cells, and that this metabolite killed up to 76% of the lung cancer cells. Ginger extracts have already shown potent activity against prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer and leukemia in previous lab studies, and this latest research has shed new light on exactly how ginger kills these cancer cells. And this super-herb’s health benefits extend beyond cancer. A recent clinical trial showed ginger improved insulin sensitivity and lowered insulin levels in adults with diabetes. And another study on middle aged women showed ginger to significantly improve memory and cognitive performance!

Note by Angel4Light:

I have been loading up on Ginger for some time now. It seems to give me energy and is quite delicious.

I have been making fruit smoothies for a number of years and one ingredient I always include is fresh ginger, it not only tastes great but the benefits are amazing.

I suffered with asthma for many years, ever since the Chemtrails became heavy and I would wheeze like an old woman who could hardly catch her breath. Well honestly I am an old woman but I am into Nature Health modalities and I research at every turn for any thing that can help make the quality of life better for myself and those I love. I also enjoy sharing my findings with you the reader.

As I stated above about the asthma issue, it was a pain and scarry experience many times when the coughing would set in and wheezing, there were moments when I could barely breathe. I use to use a nebulizer by prescription. It seem to help me, but I am so anti Drug that I had to find a better way.

I was making a Tea from Coltsfoot with honey and it did help, but as I read more about this natural herb, it had limitations. I don’t like limitations or side effects from too much consumption. So I continued my research.

I have found that the Ginger Tea or the Ginger Smoothies I make left me feeling fresh and my lungs clear and like a crisp like a clear Spring Day, before the Chemtrails destroyed our air quality.

Another tip I can share with you is menthol. Mint is amazing and helps to open you up. It can be added to teas, or a vaporizer to clear the head and lungs.

Additionally if I have a really hard time because I didn’t do my ginger tea or smoothie is to put Vicks Vapor rub under my nostrils and it helps to open my lungs quickly. I keep a small container readily available, or a combination oil of Peppermint with eucalyptus oil which can be purchased at most oriental food stores.

Here is the main reason for my asthma:
I was a heavy smoker for many years, smoking 2 packs a day. I got tired of coughing up brown flam and wheezing. I was young but sounded like an old fart. I quit cold turkey and never went back.

I was into vanity and saw anti smoking ads showing the wrinkles that was caused by the cancer stick. I didn’t know about the 300 plus toxins in cigarettes. For me it was a personal decision for health and no wrinkles. I am glad I was so vain and smart as it saved my life.

You will enjoy this delicious Ginger  Tea as given above.

The Smoothies I make are super easy:

One Apple (remove the core)
One Mango (with the skin)
One Peaches (I peel mine)
One slice of Fresh Pineapple (with core but no skin)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
One frozen bananas (peel before the freeze. I froze one with the skin and it was a pain to peel when frozen )
Orange a few slices from the freezer including the skin. (I slice the fresh orange and put into a freezer bag for these delightful refreshing smoothies.)

I have added strawberries that I had frozen or Muscadine grapes which I have removed the seeds or blueberries

When my blender is too full to add the whole milk, I will pour out some of the blended mix into a bowl to allow room. Save this additional mixture for later. I have personally frozen the extra mixture in ice cube trays and then taken the cubes and put them into freezer bags for later use.

Sweeten with Honey to taste

If you want to turn this drink into a shake; then add some ice and keep blending until it thickens the way you want.

I promise you will have fun creating various fruit drinks. Adding more of one fruit and omitting others.

The key ingredient is Ginger and Honey for me, the rest is a delicious surprise for my taste buds but each fresh fruit is a blessing if benefits as well.

Freezing works:
I freeze most all my fresh fruits at their peek. The Muscadines are sliced in half to remove the seeds and are a delightful treat anytime. These keep for several months, I have kept it longer but it never makes it to the year mark as it is consumed before that, so I don’t know how long it would last and still taste good.

The fresh pineapple is sliced into 1/2 to 1″ slices with the core and peel. I place each slice into its own individual freezer bag. I peel the outer piece later.

I haven’t frozen mangos before. I don’t know, have you ever frozen mangos? Seems like it would work up good frozen.

I hope this has been of help to you or will help someone you know.

Be blessed
