Protecting Yourself from Heavy Metal Toxicity

Some people believe that heavy metals are a concern of the past. But this couldn’t be further from the truth.

There are plenty of options to consider for chelators. Some of the most popular include glutathione, milk thistle, and chlorella. Time spent in a hot sauna is also known to promote heavy metal excretion.

3. Awareness & Aversion

While removing the heavy metals from your body, it’s also important to reduce your exposure.

The best way to go about this is to simply become aware of the common sources and act accordingly. Here’s a quick list to get you started:

Drinking Water: install some sort of filter (like reverse osmosis) to ensure your drinking water is clear of heavy metals and other toxins like fluoride.

Pesticides & Herbicides: purchase organic when possible.

Dental Fillings: some dental fillings are up to 50% mercury by weight. It’s best to remove them with a dentist who knows how to do it safely.

Household Furniture: Most furniture has fire retardants, protective finishes, and other chemicals that contain heavy metals. Choose your furniture wisely and pick up a nice in-home air filter.

Car Exhaust: This one is tough to avoid. But if you’re stuck in traffic, make sure your car vents are set to “recirculate.” That way you aren’t breathing in the fumes from the car in front of you.

Heavy metals are still a considerable threat to your wellbeing. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
