The nutritional and healing powers of fresh raw Cannabis is one of of the best kept secrets of the last century. Because Cannabis is, essentially, a wonder plant, it was only a matter of time before the anti-cannabis propaganda machine would fall apart. That is what is happening today. This video calls out the “authorities” who do nothing but harm the public for enrichment and corruption of the state.

Hemp Makes Great Plastic, So Why Isn’t Hemp Plastic Everywhere?

Hemp Makes Great Plastic, So Why Isn’t Hemp Plastic Everywhere?

by EraOfLight

cannabis plant

Plastic is an inescapable part of our everyday lives, so why is almost all of it still made from polluting, non-renewable petrochemicals? You may have heard that agricultural hemp, the non-mind-altering cousin of cannabis (commonly known as marijuana), has dozens of potential uses from clothing to paper.

Since virtually all climate scientists agree that we must replace our dependence on fossil fuels, and given that hemp can even make the soil cleaner, it’s surprising that this miracle crop isn’t in wider use.

When we looked into the topic, we found that hemp is already appearing in some commonplace objects, including cars, and could soon find its way into more. But there are also remaining barriers that keep hemp plastics more expensive and less versatile, for now.

plastic pollution

Not only are the harmful effects of global warming increasingly clear, conventional plastics linger in the environment and can even enter the food chain to detrimental effect on human and animal health.

In one especially shocking recent example, researchers from the University of Tasmania and the UK’s Royal Society for the Protection of Birds found 38 million pieces of plastic waste on Henderson Island, an uninhabited coral island in the South Pacific.

“I’ve travelled to some of the most far-flung islands in the world and regardless of where I’ve gone, in what year, and in what area of the ocean, the story is generally the same: the beaches are littered with evidence of human activity,” Jennifer Lavers, a marine scientist from the University of Tasmania, told The Guardian.

The oceans are in a similar or even worse state, thanks to the risk of microplastics, or tiny fragments of plastic that pollute the waters and are often eaten by marine life. The infamous “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” is actually largely composed of millions of these tiny particles — as much as 1.9 million per square mile — according to a 2014 report from National Geographic.

Some of the earliest plastics were made from cellulose fibers obtained from organic, non-petroleum-based sources.

“Hemp cellulose can be extracted and used to make cellophane, rayon, celluloid and a range of related plastics,” reported Seshata, a writer at Sensi Seeds in 2014. “Hemp is known to contain around 65-70% cellulose, and is considered a good source (wood contains around 40%, flax 65-75%, and cotton up to 90%) that has particular promise due to its relative sustainability and low environmental impact.”

While 100% hemp-based plastic is still a rarity, some “composite bioplastics” — plastics made from a combination of hemp and other plant sources — are already in use. Thanks to their high strength and rigidity, these plastics are currently used in the construction of cars, boats, and even musical instruments.
could hemp be used for plastic bottles

Many plastic products are made from polymer resins, including polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, found in everyday products like plastic bottles. While advocates hope to someday see 100% hemp-based plastic bottles on supermarket shelves, the technology just isn’t ready for prime time.

Companies like Coca-Cola have experimented with 100% plant-based bottles, but commercially available products are made from no more than 30% plant-based materials, while the remainder is made from traditional fossil fuel sources.

The good news is that many corporations are investing heavily in researching replacements to traditional PET. It’s likely the first company to produce a viable commercial product could stand to earn millions.

Unfortunately, even plastic that’s deliberately designed to be biodegradable can still be a source of pollution. Almost nothing biodegrades in a landfill, and hemp microplastics could still cause problems when introduced to the oceans. Biodegradable plastics need to be sent to commercial composting facilities for efficient disposal, and these facilities aren’t available to everyone. In addition to creating better alternatives to plastic, we’ll still to create more responsible attitudes toward disposable products.

While fossil fuel costs are kept low with subsidies, hemp products for the most part remain costly luxury items. While some hemp is grown in the United States under pilot programs legalized by the 2014 Farm Bill, most is still imported from other countries.

Though hemp requires fewer pesticides and has a smaller environmental footprint than many other crops, growing and harvesting it remains labor intensive. Another drawback is that hemp requires “significant fertilizer in some soils, and also has relatively high water requirements,” as noted by Seshata.

However, hemp prices would almost undoubtedly come down, and technology improve, if we ended the war on drugs — particularly the many restrictions on legally growing hemp and cannabis.

One of the most provocative examples of hemp’s potential plastic future could come from LEGOs, the ubiquitous building block toy. which is promising to phase out fossil-fuel based resin by 2030.

“Hemp might just be the cost effective, environmentally sustainable alternative material that LEGO is looking for,” speculated Emily Gray Brosious in a February 2016 investigation from the Sun Times.

Whether or not we’re ever able to build a spaceship from hemp bricks, the full promise of hemp plastic remains tantalizingly close, but just out of reach.

A Short History Of Hemp Prohibition – Is Federal Government Legalizing Hemp In 2018?

A Short History Of Hemp Prohibition – Is Federal Government Legalizing Hemp In 2018?

Josh Sigurdson reports on the recent news that hemp will likely be legalized in 2018 as Rand Paul, Mitch McConnell and a few other senators have pushed for legalization within a larger farm bill which has now passed the senate but still has to be passed by the House which has been vocally in opposition.

Taking you back to the 18th century, George Washington grew hemp, as did Thomas Jefferson.
Hemp was one of the most durable, useful plants in the world. It was used for rope, building blocks, foundation, replaced wood, shingles, panelling, pipes, paint… Then the big ones, fuel, all kinds of food, essential oils, natural durable plastic, fabric and textiles. Hemp could be used for practically anything. Not only that… it can be grown and harvested several times a year, spare massive rain forests and make farmers a fortune. It can revolutionize the markets.
Instead, Standard Oil and government created a massive monopoly in the late 19th century. As regulations and taxes came in, it began to be more and more difficult for farmers to harvest hemp. Major industries were pressured to use petroleum instead, including Ford.

Henry Ford meant for his original Model T to run on and be built of hemp. He later created a hemp plastic car in 1941 and urged spectators to hit it as hard as they could with an axe.
In 1937, the US government enforced the 1937 tax act making it incredibly expensive to grow hemp and eventually leading to prohibition of hemp outside of some governmental and industrial uses. However, the final industrial farm went under in 1957 in Wisconsin.

So while the government attempts to ban plastic products which were monopolized with the help of the government by the chemical and petroleum giants in the first place, restricting the use of hemp; while the government throws people in a cage for their own free will as a result of their obsession with prohibition and control, in comes the legalization.

Legalize simply means the government took a right away and are giving it back at a price, and that price is extortion and regulation. How do you like that?

Prohibition needs to end! We as individuals must make our own choices and simply follow the non-aggression principle rather than demand by the hand of democracy that other people submit to our will as a majority. Let individual demand of the dollar take over. The free market.

Mexico Defies America’s Oppression by Legalizing Medical Pot Nationwide

One year after Mexican President Peña Nieto began speaking out and criticizing the global drug policy, Mexico has now legalized marijuana for medicinal purposes.

As a growing number of individual states in the U.S. stand up to the federal government on marijuana prohibition, Mexico legalized medical marijuana nationwide on Monday.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto issued a decree, following the bill’s overwhelming approval from Mexico’s Senate in December, with a vote of 98-7, and from Mexico’s Lower House of Congress in April, with a vote of 374-7 vote.

“The ruling eliminates the prohibition and criminalization of acts related to the medicinal use of marijuana and its scientific research, and those relating to the production and distribution of the plant for these purposes.”

The decree stated that the nation’s Ministry of Health would be in charge of “public policies regulating the medicinal use of pharmacological derivatives of cannabis sativa, indica and Americana or marijuana, including tetrahydrocannabinol, its isomers and stereochemical variants, as well as how to regulate the research and national production of them.”

The measure was also applauded by Mexico’s Secretary of Health, Dr. José Narro Robles. “I welcome the approval of the therapeutic use of cannabis in Mexico,” he wrote on Twitter.

While Peña Nieto was once a staunch opponent of marijuana legalization, he appears to have changed his tune, following a nationwide public debateon legalization in early 2016. He is now encouraging the U.S. to follow Mexico’s lead.

During a speech at the 2016 United Nations General Assembly Special Sessions, Peña Nieto called for a change in global drug policy, and said he believes drug use should be viewed as a “public health problem,” and users should not face criminal charges.

“So far, the solutions [to control drugs and crime] implemented by the international community have been frankly insufficient,” Peña Nieto said. “We must move beyond prohibition to effective prevention.”

Peña Nieto introduced a measure in April 2016 that would have decriminalized the possession of up to one ounce of cannabis. It would have also freed anyone who was on trial, or serving time for possession of up to one ounce of marijuana. The bill was stalled in Congress.

NOTE from Angel4Light:

It is time to make this vegetable legal in all states. It was used by the Chinese as medicine for centuries. The insanity of making people suffer when GOD created this vegetable for us to eat and help heal us from a multitude of man made dis-eases.

My mother died from Cancer and refused to take this GOD given vegetable because the evil Government decided to rule over our bodies and make this tree of life plant illegal. Too many innocent people have been locked up for growing their own in order to stop the pain of Cancer or other ailments. The plant is actually more effective to be consumed as a vegetable and does not make you high at all. The FDA and Big Pharma are in bed together and don’t want to loose their golden goose…

The pill industry. The Allopathic Doctors could earn their keep if only they studied nutrition. 98% of all Dis-eases can be attributed to a lack of Vitamins and Minerals, vaccines, GMO, Chemtrails, processed foods, stress, Fluoride, sugars and parasites. All that being said the accumulation of the toxin of the stress of the fluoride and the pesticides and the aluminum from the processed foods. These were designed to generate sickness and even kill you.

Things are changing fast as people wake up to the truth.

If you knew this vegetable could save the life of you or your loved one wouldn’t you want this to be legal ?

Former DEA “Chief Propagandist” Says Agency Knows Cannabis Is Safe, Keeps It Illegal for Profit

Former DEA “Chief Propagandist” Says Agency Knows Cannabis Is Safe, Keeps It Illegal for Profit

http://www.activistpost.com

By Justin Gardner
A former “chief propagandist” for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), now turned cannabis advocate, made startling comments at the recent Marijuana for Medical Professionals Conference in Denver, Colorado. There, Belita Nelson described what many of us suspected – the DEA is corrupt to the bone and full of lies.
“Marijuana is safe, we know it is safe. It’s our cash cow and we will never give up,” Nelson said to the audience of doctors and nurses, describing the actual modus operandi of the DEA.
Illegally Healed reports:
Nelson represented the DEA in the international media from 1998 to 2004. She did regular appearances on the talk show circuit, including the Oprah Winfrey show and Nightline, espousing the dangers of cannabis. Today she advocates for its medical use, specifically in the treatment of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in professional football players through an organization she founded: The Gridiron Cannabis Foundation.
It didn’t take long for Nelson to realize that cannabis has medical benefits. In 2000, she was watching her close friend suffer from late-stage cancer, losing more than 50% of his weight and no longer being able to eat or sleep.Being aware of cannabis’ ability to treat these symptoms, Nelson procured some for her friend, who, along with a better diet, was able to live nine more years. Nelson even grew the cannabis herself, knowing that black market products were potentially unsafe.
In 2004, Nelson was investigating a heroin epidemic in Plano, Texas and discovered that some addicts were kicking their opioid addictions by turning to cannabis. At this point she could no longer continue pushing propaganda for the DEA when it was clear to her cannabis was a life-saving plant.
Nelson resigned in 2004, and went out with a bang.

“[When they hired me] they forgot to get me to sign a confidentiality agreement—and boy did I know the dirt. They called me in and said ‘name your price, $10,000 a month? $20,000? What do you want Belita?'”

She said she left the office screaming, “You know this is safe and you are keeping it from people who are sick! I am not taking your money and you better worry about what I am going to say!”
Sure enough, Nelson turned her passion into something positive. She moved to Colorado and began advocating for medical cannabis. In 2014, she focused her energy on using cannabis to help treat CTE, setting up a holistic clinic with former Denver Broncos player Rick Upchurch.
CTE, a degenerative brain disease caused by repeated head trauma, kills many former football players. The Gridiron Cannabis Foundation hopes to convince the NFL to allow players to use medical cannabis to counter the onset of CTE.
Regarding her time at the DEA, Nelson has a succinct way to describe the agency.
If you think the DEA are the good guys, they are not. They are really not. We are talking corruption on steroids.

The DEA refused to reschedule cannabis from a Schedule 1 drug last year when it had the opportunity, somehow concluding that ‘more research is needed’ to show cannabis has medical benefits. The only explanation for maintaining the absurd classification for this miraculous healing plant is to protect Big Pharma, which knows cannabis is a threat to their profits.
As we reported recently, DEA continues to tell 25 lies on its website about the purported dangers of cannabis, even though they refuted these very lies in 2016. This willful deception is in violation a federal law called the Information Quality Act.
The DEA is the biggest obstacle standing in the way of freedom and health. It is abundantly clear that corruption and lies – not the interest of the American people – is what drives this agency to continue its tyranny.

Now hiring: Willie Nelson needs you to work for his weed company, starting salary of $65,000

Published November 11, 2016

You’ll need at least two years of experience in the cannabis industry and a degree in chemistry to work for Willie Nelson’s weed company. No seriously. You can apply here.

Nelson is hiring new employees for Willie’s Reserve, “a trailblazing line of marijuana products that celebrate Willie’s love of cannabis and the culture surrounding it,” according to the company’s website.

Image result for Now hiring: Willie Nelson needs you to work for his weed company, starting salary of $65,000

The company will be based in Colorado, according to Wide Open Country. The new business is Nelson’s way of giving back to the “pot enthusiasts (that) flocked to his shows,” according to the company’s website.

Grown by independent farmers, Nelson will have an assortment of strains, cultivation methods and recipes and the company is planning to launch a full product line of flower, pre-roll, vape and edibles this summer. Everything sold will be hand-picked by Nelson.

Nelson needs five employees to help him run his brand: a production manager, extractor, compliance officer, bookkeeper and a sales director.

Each job is salary-based and the production manager gig clocks in at $65,000 a year, with performance-based incentives, according to the site.

Nelson, who has always been vocal about his use of marijuana, told Dan Rather earlier this year that he’s starting the company to “To prove a point.”

“I felt like if you really believe in something, why not promote it?” he told Rather.

NH House Becomes First in US to Pass Bill to Inform Jurors of Right to Deem Government Unjust

NH House Becomes First in US to Pass Bill to Inform Jurors of Right to Deem Government Unjust

When government demands allegiance to the idea that its actions are always just, it’s refreshing to see some lawmakers remind us that we can, in fact, deem government to be wrong.

The New Hampshire House passed a bill that would make it the first state in the nation to require courts to inform juries of their right to vote not guilty when the verdict would produce an unjust result. This right, which all juries possess but may not be aware of, is called jury nullification.

Even if government has proved that someone is guilty under its law, a jury can let the person go free if it disagrees with the law and the punishment. This is one of the few ways in which citizens have power within the system to counter the irrational tendencies of centralized bureaucracy.

New Hampshire currently allows the defense “to inform the jury of its right to judge the facts and the application of the law in relation to the facts in controversy.” However, the House bill would have judges explain this right to juries which, according to the Tenth Amendment Center, makes it “more likely that a juror will consider this option.”

Judges would be required to make the following statement:

Even if you find the state has proved all of the elements of the offense charged beyond a reasonable doubt, you may still find that based upon the facts of this case, a guilty verdict will yield an unjust result, and you may find the defendant not guilty.

One of the most significant cases of jury nullification happened in New Hampshire in 2012, when the jury acquitted Doug Darrell of felony drug charges. Darrell was cultivating cannabis plants in his backyard for medicinal and religious purposes and, although guilty under the law, the jury refused to convict Darrell.

Defense attorney Mark Sisti utilized the existing New Hampshire law to request that the judge read aloud the right to jury nullification.

Juror Cathleen Converse, self-described as a “straitlaced little old lady,” explained her reasoning in an interview with Free Talk Live.

“Mr. Darrell is a peaceful man,” she said. “He grows for his own personal religious and medicinal use. I knew that my community would be poorer rather than better off had he been convicted.”

Jury nullification is especially popular in cases regarding cannabis use. In November we reported that Colorado juries keep letting people go for driving under the influence of cannabis, because it is not a necessary indication of impairment. The state’s legal blood-THC limit is arbitrary and not based on scientific evidence.

In Montana, prosecutors have a hard time finding anyone who is willing to convict someone of cannabis charges.

Sometimes even judges let it be known how absurd cannabis laws are. In Canada, Justice Pierre Chevalier fined accused cannabis cultivator $1, adding that cannabis laws are “outdated and ridiculous.”

If the New Hampshire bill makes it through the Senate and past the governor, it will be an historic moment in the American justice system. The current legal system is hostile to the idea of jury nullification, with judges threatening “secret juries” and police defying injunctions by removing activists.

However, in past times, jury nullification was viewed as a primary and necessary function of juries. As the Cato Institute points out:

You can’t find references to “jury nullification” around the time of the American Revolution. That’s because it was considered to be part and parcel of what a jury trial was all about. If jurors thought the government was treating someone unjustly, they could acquit and restore that person’s liberty. Jury trials were celebrated–and explicit provisions were put into the Constitution so that the government could not take them away.

Perhaps New Hampshire can remind the nation that we are not bound by the dictates of government, and we still have the power to protect our fellow citizens from state-sanctioned injustice.

New Research Shows Cannabis Heals Broken Bones and Prevents Rejection of Transplanted Organs

By Justin Gardner

image

The medical uses of cannabis and its derivatives are continuing to be discovered at an astonishing rate. This is despite the fact that U.S. government clings to an absurd, baseless classification of cannabis as a Schedule I drug, which severely limits research and scientific advancement.

We can add bone fractures and organ transplants to the diverse list of conditions that medicinal cannabis can treat.

A study performed by Tel Aviv University and Hebrew University researchers finds that the non-psychotropic component cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) helps heal bone fractures. They administered the compound to rats with mid-femoral fractures and found that it “markedly enhanced the healing process of the femora after just eight weeks.”

The team had found in earlier research that our bodies’ cannabinoid receptors stimulate bone formation and inhibit bone loss. It was a natural progression to test how this can be utilized to aid bone healing.

“The clinical potential of cannabinoid-related compounds is simply undeniable at this point,” said Dr. Gabet. “While there is still a lot of work to be done to develop appropriate therapies, it is clear that it is possible to detach a clinical therapy objective from the psychoactivity of cannabis. CBD, the principal agent in our study, is primarily anti-inflammatory and has no psychoactivity.”

Back in the U.S., researchers at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine discovered another new field of cannabis treatment. They found that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active ingredient in cannabis, can delay the rejection of incompatible organs.

The research performed in mice provides clear justification for its testing in clinical trials. If THC can be used to prevent organ rejection, as the authors suggest is possible, it can literally save lives. Again, the work focuses on cannabinoid receptors.

“More and more research is identifying potential beneficial effects of substances contained in marijuana, but a major challenge has been identifying the molecular pathways involved,” said John Wherry, Ph.D., Deputy Editor of the Journal of Leukocyte Biology. “These new studies point to important roles for the cannabinoid receptors as targets that might be exploited using approaches that refine how we think about substances derived from marijuana.”

Scientists around the world are resuming the exploration of medical cannabis that was interrupted in the 1930s and ‘40s by irrational government prohibitions. We are only just discovering its usefulness in treating epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, cancer and multiple sclerosis.

For centuries, cannabis was used as a medical remedy. The tools of modern medicine are now allowing extraordinary insights into this plant and the powerful capabilities of cannabinoid receptors.

Despite the amazing benefits of this plant, in police state USA, police officers will kill you for it — and they will call it “justice.

Cannabis mouth spray aids MS patients

Posted by eideard

An oral cannabis spray (Sativex) is delivering the same amount of benefit as seen in clinical trials for relieving spasticity associated with MS, according to interim results from two observational Italian studies.

The MOVE 2 study showed modest but statistically significant improvement in spasticity scores…over 3 months among 322 patients who added Sativex to standard anti-spasticity drugs and/or physical therapy, according to Maria Trojano, MD, and colleagues.

The SA.FE Study, led by Francesco Patti, MD, found similar results, with about 40% of 547 patients showing at least a 30% improvement…at 6 months…

Sativex is a 50:50 mixture of the cannabis components THC and cannabidiol, sprayed into the mouth daily to help control spasticity symptoms. It was approved in Italy for marketing in mid-2013 on the basis of randomized trials showing a benefit over placebo, primarily in patient-reported measures. Those findings led the American Academy of Neurology last year to declare that Sativex appeared effective in patients’ subjective judgment…

Because clinical trials usually enroll carefully selected patients, with many exclusions and close monitoring of those enrolled, there are often questions about the relevance of these results in real-world patients. Hence, the MOVE 2 and SA.FE studies were started to examine how Sativex is working in routine practice environments.

More clinical details in the article. The important detail for Americans is a federal government that refuses to leave anti-science and irrelevant ideology behind. Levels of effectiveness are only meaningful in that minority of states that have moved into the 21st Century with prescriptive medical marijuana. And they still run the risk of witch hunts.

What’s This?

Humans have cultivated and used the flowering tops of the female cannabis plant, known colloquially as marijuana, since history was recorded. Archaeologists in Central Asia even found over 2 pounds of cannabis in a 2,700 year-old grave of a shaman.
Written and pictorial evidence of cannabis use is scattered throughout numerous cultures indicating a wide acceptance and use of the plant for thousands of years.

Drug Classification Halts Use
Federal prohibitions outlawing the therapeutic and recreational use of cannabis were first imposed by Congress with the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937. Later, the plant’s organic compounds (cannabinoids) were classified as a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act of 1970.

This classification puts the plant in the same pool as heroin and states that cannabis possesses “a high potential for abuse … no currently accepted medical use … [and]a lack of accepted safety for the use of the drug … under medical supervision.”
In contrast, cocaine and methamphetamine – illegal for recreational use, may be consumed under a doctors supervision and are classified as Schedule II drugs. Examples of Schedule III and IV drugs include anabolic steroids and Valium. Analgesics that contain codeine are defined by law as Schedule V drugs, the most lenient classification.

In Support of Therapeutic Use
Federal lawmakers continue to use the dated drug classification as a means to defend criminalization of marijuana. However, there appears to be very little scientific basis for the categorization of the plant. As its prohibition has passed 75 years, researchers continue to study the therapeutic properties of cannabis.
There are over 20,000 published reviews and studies in scientific literature that pertain to the cannabis plant and its cannabinoids, almost one-third of these have been published in the last 4 years. A keyword search on PubMed Central (the US government library of peer-reviewed scientific research) shows 2,100 studies alone since 2011.

Modern culture is now catching up on what our ancestors knew, and public opinion and relaxing state legislation are leading the way for more people to use medicinal marijuana for a wide number of medical conditions. At present, marijuana for medical purposes is legal in 20 states and the District of Columbia.

While the debate continues to boil at both state and federal levels, there has been a strong and growing trend of acceptance related to the growing body of scientific evidence indicating that marijuana may indeed contain some powerful medicinal properties that we would be foolish to overlook.

“The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS — or by the harsh drugs sometimes used to treat them. And it can do so with remarkable safety. Indeed, marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day.”

The research on cannabis has shifted from studying its ability to alleviate symptoms of disease such as nausea associated with chemotherapy to its potential role in modifying disease. Medical marijuana has been shown to slow the onset of Alzheimers disease and moderate autoimmune disorders including multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
Cannabis and Coconut Oil
Medical marijuana capsules infused in coconut oil are an alternative way to therapeutically use cannabis without having to inhale it through smoking. Infusing cannabis into coconut oil also allows for easy entry into the liver where it can be rapidly processed.
Coconut oil is used because of its high amount of essential fatty acids which makes it a good binding agent for the cannabinoids. Not to mention its amazing health properties. Half of the fat in coconut oil is comprised of a fat that is not frequently found in nature, lauric acid.

Lauric acid has been called a “miracle” ingredient due to its health promoting capabilities and is present in a mother’s milk. In fact, it can be found in only three dietary sources—small amounts in butterfat and larger amounts in palm kernel and coconut oil.
In the body, lauric acid is converted to monolaurin, which is a potent antiviral, antibacterial and antiprotozoal substance. Because monolaurin is a monoglyceride, it can destroy lipid-coated viruses including measles, influenza, HIV, herpes and a number of pathogenic bacteria.

Testimony – A Success Story
While many remain suspicious of the therapeutic benefits of cannabis, Stan and Barb Rutner are convinced of its efficacy. This couple has stood in the face of cancer a number of times and survived to learn from their experiences.

Barb had two bouts of breast cancer and Stan was diagnosed 20 years ago with non-Hodgkin lymphoma which, after treatment, disappeared. However, in 2011, it returned. Cancerous nodes in his lungs were diagnosed and later he was told that the cancer was in his brain. The outlook was grim indeed.

As he went through the harsh treatment of chemotherapy and radiation, Stan and his family wanted to find a natural solution that would help improve his quality of life and even prolong it. Hearing that cannabis was effective in helping with the pain and other effects of chemotherapy for cancer patients they were more than open to give it a try. According to Stan and Barb, medical cannabis was the golden ticket.

The Rutners daughter, Corinne and her husband did some research and it was decided that daytime cannabis capsule infused in coconut oil would be a good choice. After two weeks of taking the capsule, Stan was able to give up his oxygen tank that he was tied to around the clock. He began to gain weight, sleep better and get stronger overall. After several months, a brain scan revealed that Stan was completely cancer free.
The Rutners are convinced that cannabis works as an anti-cancer medicine. According to John, the Rutners son-in-law, “There is no doubt in my mind that cannabis pulled my father-in-law out of the wasting stages of cancer and enabled him to gain strength and in turn fight this horrible cell malfunction with success. While many would say that the chemo and radiation could have played apart, he would never have lived long enough to find out without cannabis oil.”
